Oscillator X Team Purchase Record Label October 16, 2007

SCI Recordings
The Oscillator X team of John Mendenhall and Kyle Ward have just finalized the purchase of SCI Recordings. The New York based record label was founded in 2005 as a subsidiary of Railyard recordings and has worldwide distribution with Beatport.

“It was the right opportunity at the right time” says co-owner Kyle Ward. “We had recently taken on some new projects and were looking for a vehicle to expand our operation. SCI has done a great job at building the label’s infastructure and distribution network and we hope to capitalize and build on that success.”

The existing catalog and artist roster has also seen releases on several well known labels such as DJ Sasha’s Excession, John Digweed’s Bedrock and Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto.

Plans are underway for several new worldwide releases for 2007 and more to follow in 2008. For more information, please visit:

Ah. I see you guys are going with Jooma for the website. I thought you’d be going with maybe WordPress. Still… Joomla is a good system for a website and easy to manage. :D

Ah, I see the website is somewhat up. I checked a while ago to see, and it was outdated. Good job with the link to the interactive history of electronic music.

Thank you for your comments everyone. I’ve been very busy getting things in order for SCI lately. Sadly, this takes away from my music time! :-(

More news to come as SCI moves into full production. Stay tuned for future details.

Cheers,

K

Cata-Kai -

Smiley is on strike with all the writers in Hollywood CA right now! :-)

No jk. Smiley’s section hasn’t been completed yet. The SCI site is still receiving numerous updates. You will see him added soon enough!

I’m not sure if it is meant to say this, but I found this on the Oscillator X page.
“Since then the duo’s music has been featured in several DVD’s as well as the arcade video games, “Pump It Up Pro” and “In The Groove 3″.”

mocliamtoh -

Thank you for the concern.

I believe this statement was referring to the fact that Oscillator X was previously licensed for ITG3. Roxor Games was not able to release “In The Groove 3″ before the game release plans were halted.
